rewaxing on a regular basis

let's say i give my whole car the complete auto detail one day. two weeks later, i notice the shine beginning to fade. To keep it up, can i just apply another layer of wax on top of it, or would i have to redo the whole car wash process again (strip wax, FI-2, smr, wax again)??

You can simply apply another coat of wax. No need to strip and redo.

you can also qd it on a regular basis and then go even longer before the was/wax process

You dont need to do the whole thing again. Just wash your car with a good car shampoo, dry it then re-apply wax.

You can definately wax over your car. You only need to do the prep work (strip wax, FI-2, clay, etc.) every 6 months or once a year depending on the condition of your car.
