Re: Renting a PC 7424

Lowes and Home Depots have tool rental programs. They may have one.

Re: Renting a PC 7424

The problem wit just renting the PC7424 is that for detailing you'll need backing plate and usually a few different pads ... I doubt Home Depot will rent those.

Or just call a Home Depot thats close to you. But the backing plate is going to be an issue depending on what size pads you have.

What is it you're trying to accomplish?

Re: Renting a PC 7424

Okay my plan is to rent a PC 7424 if they have one at a place like Lowe's or Home Depot in order to start the process of removing some really noticeable swirl marks on my truck. I want to get everything I need basically at the same time. Anyone know exactly what products would be best to use (and if they can be found at a store or online) with the PC 7424 in order to remove those annoying swirl marks. Products, pads, backing plates etc.

Re: Renting a PC 7424

see i know from experience that once you use one you will always want to use one and think its the greatest thing in the world, so my opinion would be to order one of the starter kits from CMA while they have the 10% off and free shipping deal going on. You will never regret your purchase and you cant go wrong on one of the starter packages.

Re: Renting a PC 7424

Pretty tall order for a rental. Maybe even foolish.

Get the whole package along with the 7424 or go to a pro detailer.

Car Buffers, Car Polishers, Rotary Polishers, polishing foam pads, buffing pads, wool pad, Porter Cable 7424, Makita, DeWalt, Cyclo buffer, bonnet, would be a good place to start.
