Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine.

Hi Guys,

my 1st time using this product and will like to ask some qns about Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine

i use it with a Microfiber Chenille Weave Mitt With Thumb. i notice that my wash mitt is far dirtier than if i use it with conventional car shampoo.

i had problem cleaning the wash mitt in between the panels. ie after i wash the top, i tried to rinse and scrub off the dirt from the mitt before going to other panels. But dirt doesn't come off as easy as while using car shampoo.
my wash mitt is "blacker" than usual. i'm afraid the dirt might scratch my car paint.

Anyone here have similar problems? any advice?

Thanks

One question for you how was the rinse water.... was it dirty at all or pretty clean ? I have used this stuff a few times and QEW and had some marring issue with this stuff yesterday. the rinse water was not that dirty, all the dirt stayed in my mitt. when I noticed the marring I went in and washed my mitt with Woolite then rinsed my mitt, well let's just say it was dirty have to admit I may be going back to QEW. I am going to give it another go using some deep pile MF'S or a sheepskin mitt after work today. maybe the MF'S will release the dirt better ? what is everybody using to wash with? trying to stay positive about this stuff but if you saw the marring on my truck another thing about using the MF'S is that I am going to have four in my wash bucket, figuring that once one is dirty, leave it in the rinse bucket and pick up another clean one while the first one is letting the dirt fall out of the micrfober. I am hoping that my issue was my mitt was totaled and needs to be sent to wheel cleaning duty.

I won the Optimum NRWS contest over on DC. I have a 32 ounce bottle on the way. Based on all of the great reviews I can't wait to try this stuff out...

Congrats on winning the contest, it is always good to get free stuff. If you need more I may have some for you as this stuff is not exactly proving better than QEW so far. have to admit I can not even look at the marring on my truck without getting disgusted right now I just feel like dumping this crap . I used the same everything as QEW, maybe twice the strength ? if I need to double up on the amount of mixture used how can this stuff be better. just can not get over the fact that mitt remained dirty, do I need a new mitt, use more than one mitt , change to MF'S instead ? sorry to be negative but if you truck looked as bad as mine you would be ready to dump it as well never had such marring in my life anytime I have ever washed a car or truck. could it be this wash is defective ? what would you do ?

I use 1 sams MF with QEW. I add some QD to the mix.

I fold it over in half and use that whole surface. One pass per side, flip. I get 4 passes before I put it in the rinse bucket, I agitate it, then place it back in the QEW bucket while I dry the area.

Sounds like a plan. guess what really got me pissed was that I have been doing great using QEW with the same method on three trucks and no problems at all. why the problems now. is my mitt shot ? I wash it in Woolite every time I am done. I folded the mitt in half and take a little swipe, use the other side for another swipe then do the same on the other side. I also never go over the area twice unless I rinse the mitt out well and reload on wash.

My guess would be your mit. Try it with a MF or another mit and see what happens.

I would agree that it seems the mitt is the issue. will try the MF route today and a new chenille mitt I have and see how it goes. guess what got me is I had used the new wash on my black Jimmy and took 20 minutes with no issues at all.

I've had absolutely no marring whatsoever with either QEW or No Rinse Wash. I use the chenille covered foam pads and wash them after every couple of cars. Are you sure there is marring or is it drying streaks?

This is a BMW 325 I did the other day using No Rinse and a chenille covered foam pad. You can see how well it cleans and there was no marring at all that I could see.
